About the site

Members helped with the major construction of the site in its early stages in the year 2000.  Pleasley Pit Nature Study Group then took over most of the routine maintenance of the site

Working with Derbyshire Countryside Services on the development of the site, the Saturday morning working parties are helping to make it more attractive and friendly to both wildlife and human visitors

The working parties keep paths mown and repaired and after consulting regular users of the park, have put up 12 bench seats at strategic places.
