News

After reading Ken’s piece in the April Newsletter I thought to myself: “Well, I have access to a computer with Microsoft Word installed & I’m sure I can spare four to five hours every three months”. Guess what! A successful application without the bother of a letter of application, CV or interview! If only life had always been so easy!

For those of you who don’t recognise me by name, I’m the chap you might have seen in the country park with two Jack Russells and walking poles. If that still doesn’t help then I’m the person who will be compiling future editions of the newsletters.

A Day To Remember

11 October 2009

Geoff Walker

It is with very much regret that I inform you of the death of Geoff Walker on Friday 14th May. Geoff was our highly regarded treasurer until illness forced him to retire in February this year, and was a founder member of the Pleasley Pit Nature Study Group. He was an inspiration to all who new and worked with him and it goes without saying that he will be greatly missed. On behalf of all members of Pleasley Pit Nature Study Group, I extend sincere condolences to his family, particularly his wife Liz, daughters Fiona and Sally, and sons Peter and Joe.
